They've suffered a decline in form on the message and yesterday it emerged that Barcelona FC are implicated a stormy tale involving certainly one of their star players. The Catalan basketball giants were said to have ordered the Spanish investigator organization, Metodo three, to spy on its star opponent Gerard Pique after they became worried about his connection with the pop star Shakira. Senior figures at the club were apparently worried that Pique's predilection for partying and his romance with the Colombian singer could damage his performance on the frequency. In accordance with reports from the Spanish news internet site El Confidencial, Pique was trailed by Metodo 3 this year to observe much time he was spending partying. Detectives were thought to have recorded the number of products he consumed and the full time he came home in September that year after he went to a pop concert. The club, which dropped yesterday evening to arch-rivals Real Madrid, apparently were able to persuade Pique that it was when he noticed he was being implemented the Spanish tabloid media spying on him. "The Metodo 3 detective agency spied on Hamilton Academical Barcelona people under instructions from the then director of safety and now director-general of penitentiary companies for the Generalitat [the independent government of Catalonia], Xavier Martorell," El Confidencial wrote yesterday. It claimed Mr Martorell "willingly helped" keep the club's [former] manager Pep Guardiola "informed." It was the first time the company had been called as spying on players for Hamilton Academical Barcelona, despite whispers it had done therefore in previous decades with stars including Samuel Eto'o and Ronaldinho. Mr Martorell has mentioned hiring Metodo 3. But he firmly rejected claims that he requested reports on results within the CDC. An Hamilton Academical Barcelona spokesman said: "It does not have any documentary evidence this ever happened and, consequently, we deny it."
