The fixture has been moved to the Bank Holiday night to support the live tv protection for Sky Sport`s Monday Night Football programme. The match against Paulo Di Canio`s men had been originally arranged for Saturday 4th May. Start is likely to be at 8pm at the Stadium of Light. Both sides are still in some trouble of being directed from the Premier League and this fixture could possibly be essential for the safety of each side. Stoke currently sit 3 points from the relegation in 15th while Sunderland sit 17th, only out of the zone on goal variation, but having played one more installation then Wigan Athletic.
