Jason Day leads the 2013 Masters after Round 2. His confidence is up, his mistakes are down and he's prepared to maintain his first major title with a gain in 2013 at Augusta. While many of the game's top players, including Tiger Woods, faltered a little down your home stretch on Friday morning, Day was able to work out the best score of any player on the course in Round 2a'a four-under par work that included a few gut-wrenching par saves and some amazing recovery shots. No player has had the oppertunity to put forth as regular a confident effort to date in this year's Masters than Day, who has posted 12 birdies, four bogeys and one double bogey. He's reaching 67.9 percent of the fairways, 61.1 percent of the greens, is converting 1 / 2 of his mud preserves and is getting well on Augusta's challenging greens. Immediately in Day's rear-view mirror certainly are a few of golf's greatest stars. The ageless Fred Couples is going to be used with Day on Saturday, having published a of one-under par to provide him a contest score of five-under par. First-round chief Marc Leishman lost a on Friday, and he will be coupled with former Masters champ Angel Cabrera. Tiger is stalking, but Day does not seem to have the pressure.Harry How/Getty Images Rick Furyk and Brandt Snedeker are at four-under par, and then there's Woods and Adam Scott at three-under par, plus a number of other people. 2013 isn't Day's first brush with Masters fame. He finished in second position behind Charl Schwartzel in 2011, and that experience may serve him well next two daysa'the most critical rounds of golf in Day's career to date. Day's great, peaceful method of the first two days proves he's learned to allow force wash over him just like the wind, instead of eat him up from inside. Though Day has just acquired on the PGA Tour once before, he's established capable of playing with the most effective players in the world at the hardest venues with two second-place finishes in significant activities. He is playing fantastic tennis right now, has enjoyed enough rounds at Augusta to know its lines and is playing like a winner. Today, it's time to finish the job with two more rock-solid times on Saturday and Sunday. Follow me on Twitter @JesseReed78
