Javier Hernandez: I won't quit Manchester United - even if Radamel Falcao arrives - Metro

Javier Hernandez has vowed to fight for his place at Manchester United amid growing speculation that he could be replaced by Radamel Falcao.

Hernandez enjoyed a flying start to his United career after arriving from Guadalajara in 2010, but has since fallen down the pecking order and has been consistently linked with a move away.

Real Madrid, Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund are among those to have been linked with Hernandez, who has played just 15 times in the Premier League this term.

But in a week when reports in Spain suggested United were ready to bringing in Falcao to replace the Mexican, he has hit back and insisted he will fight for his place at Old Trafford.

'When the gaffer wants me on the bench or the starting line-up I will do my best. My attitude is going to be very good because I want to respect the club, my team-mates and the coach.'

The comments appear likely to fall on deaf ears though, with United sounding out strikers ahead of a summer reshuffle.

Falcao is thought to be a top target, while Borussia Dortmund's Robert Lewandowski has been suggested as another option along with Real Madrid's Karim Benzema.
