Robin van Persie of Manchester United challenged his former membership in a draw with Arsenal in the Premier League. Reading and Queens Park Rangers will soon be demoted after they received, 0-0, making just one more spot to be established in the drop zone. Booed often in his go back to Arsenal, van Persie gave away the ball that triggered newly crowned winner Manchester Unitedas conceding an early on target. He then produced a kick to clinch the draw. A Paris St.-Germain closed in on the French league title with a triumph at Evian that highlighted the termination of P.S.G. midfielders David Beckham and Marco Verratti. A large brawl erupted following the final whistle.
