Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes unfazed by records | Football ...

Munich:  Jupp Heynckes says records are meaningless to him as his Bayern Munich side aims for an eighth successive Bundesliga victory at promoted Fortuna Duesseldorf on Saturday.

No team has ever started the league with eight wins, but Heynckes says "records are for encyclopedias, for statistics."

Heynckes is wary of the league's second-best defense — Bayern, with two goals conceded, has the best — but says "we will continue where we left off two weeks ago (before the international break)."

The 66-year-old coach says Brazilian defender Dante has a knee problem, while Dutch winger Arjen Robben won't play as he continues his recovery from muscular problems.
