Alex Ferguson announces Manchester United retirement - NORTH AMERICAN Today - USA RIGHT NOW.

LONDON – English Top League champions Manchester United's longtime forex broker Sir Alex Ferguson said on Wednesday which he plans to retire at May 19 after more than a quarter of a century in English soccer.

"The decision to retire is one that I have thought a tremendous amount about and one i have not taken frivolously. It is the appropriate time, " Ferguson said in announcement in the club's website.

In 35 years at Manchester Usa, Ferguson has won 13 domestic league titles and a couple Champions League trophies. She's the most successful manager in English soccer history.

Later this summer Ferguson will undergo hip surgery and there's speculation that his health sometimes have played a role with his decision to factor down.
