Jones Tells Cowboys Stadium Won’t Pass by Another Name.

Earlier this week, the 49ers announced they had reached a $220-million naming-rights overcome apparel company Levi Strauss because of their new stadium set to be able to open in Santa Clara within 2014.

Meanwhile, Cowboys Stadium in Arlington still bears the name in the NFL team that uses up it nearly four many years after it began hosting events and games, Rainer Sabin in the Dallas Morning News reviews.

"Timing is important, " Jones said. "But just how it fits is important. There potentially have recently been some situations I might have been interested. But it just didn't fit….. I'm pretty proud for the Cowboys and I've gotten pretty high bar and high standard for who it is good to be associated with. "

Jones then relayed a tale about how he was considering naming the $1. 2 billion football construction Vaqueros de Dallas Arena because "it fit our great Hispanic group of fans. "

That never materialized, of course. And Jones said he wasn't too eager to negotiate a naming-rights agreement which includes a corporate sponsor.

"I desire to be very deliberate and are generally, " he said. "The good news is that it can be something I haven't felt the desire to be so urgent at. "
